“But earthlier happy is the rose distilled
Than that which withering on the virgin thorn
Grows, lives, and dies in single blessedness.”
“I don’t know that I can ever fully express the gratitude I feel for the way Sheree was able to communicate our dreams so accurately to our guests. My biggest fear during the planning process was that we wouldn’t be able to achieve the vision that we wanted. All of those fears disappeared after I met Sheree. I was simply excited for the day, to see what it was that she would create for us.
And what she created was beyond everything I had imagined.
In all honesty, Sheree took a dream that I never believed would come true and painted us and our guests right into the portrait. It was surreal, and I felt spoiled, and satisfied beyond measure. And I am so glad I was able to spend such a special day with her.
Sheree took the love that we have for each other and wove it into our wedding, and we will forever be grateful.
Emma and Mick.
P.s – Sheree, I still don’t know how to tell you that you made more than my dreams come true. One day I will!”
At the enchanting Montrose berry Farm amongst the beautiful trees, Emma and Mick celebrated their love by getting married. As a special surprise for Emma we arranged vintage gates from Paris to be bought in last minute to be used for her reception styling.
At twilight their guests sat in the garden under strings of festoon lights on our handmade timber trestle tables filled with flowers from the talented Jardine Botanic and a feast from PB catering. The bridal table was lavishly draped with vintage bedspreads and lace, paying homage to the shoot we styled for Modern Wedding.
We Play Records provided the atmosphere with their superb vinyl collection and Emma and Mick had their first dance to Real Love by Regina Spektor.
The love in the air was intoxicating and the entire event was purely magical, luxurious and captured in photographs by the brilliant Lara Hotz and in film by High Tea Films.
